Description
Acid salt (chlorohydrogen, hydrochloric or chloride acid) - solution of chloride hydrogen in water; strong monobasic acid. The maximum concentration at 20 °C is equal to 38% on weight, density of such solution of 1,19 g/cm3. Weak solutions of hydrochloric acid (to 0,4% ) have specific tart and sour taste, more concentrated cause oral cavity burns. Salts of hydrochloric acid are called chlorides.
Application
Hydrochloric acid is widely applied in various industries.
- In hydrometallurgy and a galvanoplasty it is used for cleaning of a surface of metals during the soldering and a tinning, for receiving chlorides of zinc, manganese, iron and other metals;
- For cleaning of ceramic and metal products of pollution and disinfection in mix with surface - active substances;
- In the food industry it is registered as the regulator of acidity, a food additive of E507;
- in medicine;
- in ferrous metallurgy
