Borax

Borax is applied:

• in production of enamels, glazes, optical and stained glasses;
• at the soldering and melting as gumboil;
• in paper and pharmaceutical industry;
• in production of construction materials as antiseptic agent component for production of cellulose heater of "Ekovat"
• as disinfecting and preservative;
• in analytical chemistry:
• as standard substance for determination of concentration of solutions of acids;
• for qualitative test of metal oxides (on color of pearls);
• in the photo — as a part of slowly operating developers as the weak accelerating substance [1];
• as component of detergents;
• as cosmetics component;
• as raw materials for receiving boron;
• as insecticide in the poisoned baits for cockroaches.
