The contactless switch is called the solid-state (semiconductor) converter operating a condition of an external chain of loading by means of the built-in switching element depending on the provision of object of influence. At the same time registration of object is made remotely (without mechanical contact of the converter and object of influence).
At installation in systems of automation of processing equipment contactless switches most often carry out function of primary converters for control of provision of working elements of the equipment, signaling about completion of command for movement. At approach of object of influence to an active surface of a sensitive element there is an operation of the contactless switch. At the same time the switching element makes short circuit or disconnection (or carries out both specified operations) in chains of a direct current to 400 ma and in chains of alternating current to 250 ma. As loading the entrance of the controller, the electronic scheme or directly a winding of the electromechanical contact device can be used (the relay, the contactor).
The electric part of the device is placed in the case from the nickelized brass (stainless steel) or plastic. For ensuring operability of the contactless switch in extreme - service conditions - the electric part of a product is pressurized by an epoxy compound.
