Description
One of the acoustic methods used by our company for definition of technical condition of processing equipment, pipelines and constructions is the ultrasonic tolshchinometriya. At operation and repair of the equipment often there is a need to determine equipment wall thickness, to measure the sizes of separate details, to determine thickness of bimetallic naplavka, to measure the residual thickness of a wall of a product subject to wear owing to features of technological process and operation. Pipes and a fitting, walls of vessels and a cover of devices, the stamped bottoms, products of a difficult configuration and so forth usually belong to such details. However design features of these details not always allow to measure them in the usual ways. Rather often access to inside of a product is complicated or impossible. Besides, sometimes there is a need for determination of the sizes of details without their dismantle from equipment knots (hairpins, flanges, covers of devices, etc.). In these cases very effective control method of thickness is the ultrasonic tolshchinometriya.

Setup of the feeler gage is usually made or on the known thickness (for example, on a standard or on a product edge), or on the speed of a rasprostaneniye of ultrasonic waves in a product (if ultrasound speed in a product, or material brand is known) since in various materials and metals ultrasound speed different.
