It is intended for management of excitement at start-up, synchronous work and in emergency operation of synchronous motors with brush system of excitement with a power from 200 to 12500 kW inclusive. The activator is executed according to bridge or zero schemes of straightening with power supply from the alternating current main via the power coordinating transformer.

Operating mode of the activator – long.
The activator, depending on a tipoispolneniye, is executed according to the bridge or zero scheme of straightening, with a reserve control system or without it.
The power part of the activator is powered from the three-phase alternating current main of 380 V, with a frequency of 50 Hz via the power coordinating transformer. Parameters of the power coordinating transformer are defined by nominal parameters of a winding of excitement of the engine.

The activator provides:
• Automatic giving of excitement at direct, reactor or frequency launch of the engine in function:
- frequencies and phases EMFs of sliding -
- stator current -
- frequencies, phases EMFs of sliding and current of the stator -
- speeding up of excitement for sure retraction of the engine in synchronism -
- speeding up of excitement for deduction of the engine in synchronism at sharp changes of the moment of resistance on an engine shaft.
• Regulation of current of excitement on one of the following laws:
- stabilization of current of excitement -
- regulation of current of excitement on stator tension -
- regulation of current of excitement on maintenance of the set corner (cos power factor?) -
- regulation of current of excitement on tension of the stator and on a corner -? -
- shutdown of the engine at emergence of the emergency modes -
- clearing of the field of a rotor by transfer of the rectifier to the invertor mode at normal and emergency shutdowns of the engine -
- automatic decrease in current of excitement at a rotor overload on current and transition to the mode of cooling of a rotor -
- continuous control of resistance of isolation of a rotor -
- giving of current of excitement at the switched-off engine in the test mode, for check of operability of power part and system of management -
- indication of operating modes, reasons of accidents or preventions -
- automatic transition to management from a reserve set in case of refusal the main control system, with simultaneous blocking of the operating signals of the main set -
