Cellulose air, product of its interaction with monochloroacetic acid. Flavourless white powdery substance and taste. Receive as a cotton processing by-product. Possesses the emulsifying, zagushchayushchy, foam-forming, stabilizing, softening, gel-forming, film-forming properties. Can serve as good substitute of gelatin, glycerin, starch. In cosmetic production the KMTs sodium salt has the greatest value. Both products are widely used in toothpastes, creams and cosmetic masks, shampoos, shaving creams, hair conditioners, preparations for bathtubs. Are applied also in the food industry. It is nontoxical.
Carboxymethylcellulose (KMTs technical)
NAKMTs in water solution possesses the condensing and suspenziruyushchy properties. It is applied as starch substitute at a shlikhtovaniye and dressing of fabrics in the textile industry as emulsifier and a thickener in the paper, paint and varnish, ceramic, printing industry, in production of synthetic detergents.
