Emulsion explosives

Emulsion explosives are an evolution product goryachelyyushchikhsya VV — the akvatol invented at the beginning of the 70th (representing the hot concentrated saltpeter solution with addition of a thickener and TNT). A basis of EVV which application abroad began in the 80th years is the matrix — the same solution of saltpeter, sensibilizirovanny air bubbles of the micron size, that is turned into foam. When passing through such foam of a shock wave bubbles adiabatically contract, temperature in them increases, and they serve as the centers of a detonation. For creation of concrete compoundings of EVV aluminum powder, organic fuel, other additives can be added to a matrix both saltpeter in granules, and TNT. At the same time the matrix, according to the Concept of safety of application of EVV, is considered explosive (that proved a bitter experience of accident in Asbest in the 90th year), so, conditions of its production and storage have to be corresponding. To creation of an emulsion there are two approaches: application of glass microspheres and application of the gas-generating additives.
