By Kazgiprotsvetmet (KGTsM) it is founded in 1947 in the city of Ust-Kamenogorsk as the state institute on design of the enterprises of nonferrous metallurgy of the former USSR.
In 1966 it is approved head on zinc-lead subsector of the USSR.
Since 1992 is head on mining and metallurgical complex of Kazakhstan.
Kazgiprotsvetmet has the state licenses of Kazakhstan, Russia, Ukraine, Kyrgyzstan for design and exploration work, nature protection design and rationing, examination of projects, installation and construction works, production of land management works.
