Description
Expanded clay — the light porous
construction material
received by roasting of clay or clay slate. Ceramsite gravel has the oval form. Ceramsite crushed stone differs only in the fact that its grains have generally cubic form with sharp sides and corners. It is made also in the form of sand — ceramsite sand.
Depending on the mode of processing of clay or slate it is possible to receive expanded clay of various bulk density (volume weight) — from 350 to 600 kg/m ³ above.
