Expanded clay is a light porous material of a cellular structure in the form of gravel, is more rare in the form of crushed stone, received when roasting fusible clay breeds (expanded clay "obozhyonny clay" in Greek means). It is a universal environmentally friendly heater. Quality of keramzitny gravel is characterized by the size of its grains, volume weight and durability. In zavisimot from the size of grains ceramsite gravel is divided into fractions: 5-10, 10-20 and 20-40 mm., grains carry less than 5 mm to ceramsite sand. Water absorption of keramzitny gravel 8-20, frost resistance has to be not less than 25 cycles.
