ULTRASONIC FEELER GAUGES
Ultrasonic feeler gages - TEMP-UT1 and TEMP-UT2 became the newest development of the enterprise. Feeler gages of the TEMP-UT series (TEMP-UT1 and TEMP-UT2) are intended for measurement of thickness of products from uniform materials (metals, alloys, nonmetals, etc.) at unilateral access to them, and also for measurement of speed of distribution of ultrasonic fluctuations in product material.
For measurement of thickness of designs, details and their elements at access to them only on the one hand, ultrasonic feeler gages are used. The principle of operation of feeler gages is based on reflection of ultrasound on border of change of density.
Piezoelectric sensors which complete the TEMP ultrasonic feeler gages when receiving an electric impulse generate an ultrasonic impulse. Measurement of thickness ultrasonic feeler gages of the TEMP series, is based on the principle "echo impulse". Thickness of a product is defined by measurement of time of passing of an ultrasonic impulse from the sensor by the tested object.
The electronic block of the feeler gage, measures the period of time of passing of an impulse through a detail and returns after reflection from the opposite side in the sensor again. The result of measurement of thickness is calculated by the electronic block on a formula:
S=Vt/2 where S = detail thickness, V = the speed of passing of ultrasound in material of which the detail, t = time of passing of an impulse in both directions is made.
Accuracy of measurements of the ultrasonic feeler gage is provided with existence of function of the calibration of the device based on control of speed of a sound and compensation of zero when changing like the sensor, change of length of a cable and the chosen mode of measurements on the electronic block of the feeler gage.
The feeler gage is intended for measurement of thickness of products from uniform materials (metals, alloys, chugun, nonmetals, plastics, rubber, etc.) at unilateral access to them, and also for measurement of speed of distribution of ultrasonic fluctuations in product material.
On the TEMP-UT1 feeler gage the Certificate on the statement like measuring instruments No. 32214 of 27.07.2008 is received, the device is registered in the State register of measuring instruments of the Russian Federation at No. 38230-08, and also the feeler gage is brought in State. Registers of Ukraine, Belarus and Kazakhstan.Measurement of thickness is performed in the contact way, in the way of a clip of the ultrasonic converter to a surface of controlled object with use of contact liquid (water, glycerin, alcohol, oil, jellied lubricants, etc.). Objects of measurements - sheets, walls of vessels, coppers, pipes, pipelines, products of different function, including with the painted or corroded surfaces, in the course of their production, operation or repair.
