Flanges steel

The flange is a connecting element of a design of the pipeline which represents itself(himself) a disk or a ring (and sometimes a square frame) with openings for bolts. Flanges are intended for strong and tight connection of fittings to pipelines, for connection of pipes and their parts among themselves, their attachments to various equipment, other devices and vessels and other. According to the main standards three types of flanges are issued: steel flat welded, a steel ("vorotnikovy") and steel free flange welded end-to-end on a welded ring.

Flat welded flanges are made according to requirements of GOST 12820-80 and used at temperatures of-70 up to 450 °C.
