Stone blocks — a firm paving, a kind of the pavement which is laid out flat rectangular (or other form) whetstones of approximately identical form and the size. Also a stone blocks often call whetstones, or a stacked stone of which the paving was under construction.
Very high reliability and durability. The stacked stone usually has the high bearing ability and wears out a little. The roads of times of Ancient Rome paved by granite plates in many places are still suitable for use. Like a cobblestone road, the stone blocks keeps within on a sandy pillow that provides a fine drainage and resistance to degradation of a covering. The stacked pavement is not a rigid covering and separate elements can move relatively each other. It allows a covering to keep integrity at motions of the soil and excessive loadings. From the esthetic point of view, accurately structured drawing of stacked laying, in comparison with a uniform surface of asphalt, looks better.
