- In detail
Gravity - flowing equipment, or as it is also called, gravity transport, is a system designed to move material under the influence of its own weight. This system consists of gravity pipes, valves, regulators and valves through which bulk cargo is transported. The name of the equipment is due to the "draining" of bulk cargo without giving it an impulse. At the same time, due to the inclined position of the pipes, the load gains the necessary speed for movement in order to pass horizontally even sections of the pipe by inertia and turn at the fork.
Gravity - flowing equipment, despite its simplicity, has a rather complex and carefully calculated design. The design of such equipment requires attention and high accuracy, since with the slightest error in the calculations, the material will not be able to move through the pipes. That is why the manufacturer pays due attention to the manufacture of such systems, performing the most accurate calculations and using high - quality materials and equipment.
Gravity pipes can be produced both round and square. To create the desired angle of inclination, sectors and knees are used. To connect pipes into a single system, you must additionally purchase flanges, which are also round and square. The choice of the direction of material flow through the pipes is carried out using a toggle valve, which can be one - way or two - way and is operated electromechanically, pneumatically or manually.
A set of pipes, sectors, elbows and other components of the gravity system are formed for a specific customer project, taking into account the peculiarities of equipment operation.
The wide distribution and demand for gravity equipment is due to the fact that this is one of the simplest and cheapest types of gravity transport designed to transport bulk cargo in the direction of movement from top to bottom. Therefore, gravity is widely used to move materials in various industries, including for transporting grain in elevators, feed mills and granaries.
Gravity - flowing equipment not only reduces the cost of finished products, but also greatly simplifies its production.
