Description
The biggest problem of high-speed elevators is lateral motion or rocking. In 1992 Mitsubishi Electric has installed elevators in a 70-storey skyscraper in Yokohama. Extent of rocking of these elevators was so insignificant that the coin standing on an edge on an elevator cockpit floor did not fall even at its movement on speed limit. Today our technologies became even more perfect, and the quantity of the established high-speed lifr providing so comfortable movement has considerably increased.
Technology of control of cross rocking
Lateral motion arises because of small errors in rails on which lift cabins move. Vnervye in the world the system of active roller guides uses sensors which monitor emergence even of an insignificant deviation and interfere with it, thus preventing rocking. This and other technologies reduce vibration practically to imperceptible level.
