Installation of vertical steel tanks

As vertical steel tanks are delivered in unassembled form, there are two technologies of assembly of tanks - rolled and half-devout. The rolled technology (a rulonirovaniye method) at which walls, the bottoms, the central parts of floating roofs and pontoons deliver on object in the form of the rolled panels, and coverings, a box of pontoons and floating roofs, rings of rigidity and other designs - the integrated elements is most often applied.

Advantage of a method of a rulonirovaniye is that the main volume of welding works is performed industrially, and on the platform there is only a welding of a wall of the tank to the bottom and a roof. On the one hand it reduces installation cost, on the other hand - allows to increase quality of welded connections.

Installation of the tank is begun with preparation of the platform, removal of ground waters and alignment of a surface. The concrete platform or soil with bulk sand-gravel mix forms the basis. The platform prepares taking into account a tank bottom form (since they can be flat, conic with a bias from the center or to the center).

On the basis from a roll the bottom is developed. After installation of the bottom, the roll with a sidewall by means of the arrow-shaped crane is transferred also horizontal to vertical position. In the course of expansion of a roll the lower part of a lateral wall is welded on the bottom. The special attention is paid to quality of a welded seam. At external survey metal of a seam has to have smooth interface to the main metal. On seams should not cracks of any kinds and the sizes, lack of fusion, a rough cheshuychatost, an external time and chains of a time, prozhog and fistulas.

The constructed tank passes quality control and hydraulic tests. After installation and hydraulic tests on the bottom of the tank establish a pontoon or a floating roof. Tanks without pontoon with a stationary roof in addition are on internally excessive pressure and relative discharge. After tests the tank is connected to pipelines and carry out anticorrosive protection.

At the final stage there is a paperwork on the tank.

Installation of horizontal steel tanks

Horizontal tanks are, as a rule, delivered to object in assembled form therefore installation is reduced to installation of the tank and connection to pipelines.

Installation of horizontal tanks is subdivided into underground and land installation of capacities. Installation of the underground tank has a number of features and nuances. Here it is necessary to consider, type of soil in which capacity, the location and a design depth of the tank is established. Proceeding from it, capacity can fasten in addition to the concrete basis collars or have the protective canopy from above distributing pressure upon the tank case. Fill up the tank cement peskovoy with mix which is condensed through each 20 cm.

Thermal insulation and waterproofing of tanks
