A jaw crusher  is a universal machine for crushing material : rocks of any strength, slag, some metal materials. The crusher works by compressing materials with working jaws, which leads to its destruction. Scope of application - crushing of medium and large lump materials, in rare cases, smaller ones.

Crusher SMD - 108 is the most reliable among mechanisms of this type. The advantages of this crusher are the ability to change the particle size of the final material, as well as the suitability for crushing clay materials (dry, wet) of high strength and abrasiveness (compressive strength limit up to 2500 kgf / cm2).

Cannot be used for viscoelastic materials: wood, polymers, some metal alloys.
