The Limiters of Retension Nonlinear (LRN) represent rated sportsmen without spark intervals in which high - nonlinear resistors (varistors) manufactured on the basis of an oxide of zinc (ZnO) are used.

- for protection of motive loading in networks of 3, 6, 10 kV from storm and switching retension;
- for protection of cable networks, motive and transformer loading in industrial networks of 3, 6, 10 kV from storm and switching retension;
- for protection of transformer loading and other electric equipment in air distributive networks of 3, 6, 10, 15, 20, 35 kV from storm and switching retension;
- for protection of electric equipment on classes of tension of 110, 150, 220, 330 and 500 kV working in a network with the grounded neutral, with effectively grounded neutral from grozovy and switching short circuits;
- limiters of retension of the OPNN - P series are intended for protection of a razzemlenny neutral of transformers and high - voltage devices on tension classes 110, 150 and 220 2 - 4 classes of capacity included in this neutral from storm and switching retension.
