The wooden impregnated support have a number of indisputable advantages before their reinforced concrete colleagues:
1. A northern pine of which make wooden support, very strong and elastic material. The pine column maintains big loads of a bend, than its reinforced concrete analog by 1,5-2 times. In other words, at considerable wind and ice loads of an air-line wooden support will stand, and reinforced concrete to break. Also high mechanical properties of wood allow to fix in common on one support of a wire of 0,4 and 10 kV, and also street lighting.
2. A pine column of 3 times easier reinforced concrete support that allows to save on transportation and operational costs considerably. For one flight the car can take away 3 times more wooden support, than reinforced concrete. Besides, for installation of a wooden column the heavy machinery is not necessary.
3. Absence of effect of "dominoes" when the heavy reinforced concrete support, falling, entrains all support in anchor flight. The easy wooden support just keeps on the tense wires that reduces quantity of emergency shutdowns on lines and reduces costs of repair.
4. The tree very unpretentious material in use also does not demand care during the transporting and installation. At the same time, reinforced concrete support are very sensitive to blows, chips, breakthroughs and so on that seriously increases transportation costs and expenses on replacement of the support damaged when transporting.
5. Service life of a wooden support in contact with the soil - not less than 40 years that for 20% exceeds service life of a reinforced concrete column. The wooden support impregnated with SSA are established directly in soil, without use of reinforced concrete stepsons.
6. The tree possesses exclusive dielectric properties that leads to decrease in currents of leak on air-lines, to simplification of lighting protection and as a result leads to decrease in expenses.
