Apply as rastvoritelilak, paints, mastics, etc. Use in synthesis of dyes. The para - xylol is applied as raw materials to synthesis of terephthalic acid — semi - product for receiving polyethyleneterephthalate. Cleaning of the xylols used as solvents is similar to purification of toluene with that difference that they with water do not form constant boiling mixture, but boil much above it; thus, they can also be cleared by simple distillation.
