Maltodextrin represents an intermediate product of splitting of corn starch therefore molecules of starch are divided into fragments - dextrins.
Maltodextrin is added to products for the purpose of improvement of their consistence, used for preservation and transfer of properties of the flavoring and flavoring additives (as a taste intensifier). The component improves and facilitates process of dissolution of proteins. It is used as a thickener and a filler in puddings, soups, the frozen products.
