Mastic Insulating

 

 

PURPOSE OF MATERIAL

- The Obmazochny waterproofing of concrete, wooden and other building constructions (the bases, cellars, piles) which are in soil.

- Anticorrosive protection of metal surfaces, designs and products, including pipes.

 

METHOD OF APPLICATION

Before application, carefully to mix waterproofing mastic on

to all volume. If necessary dilution by white spirit is possible,

solventy or gasoline-solvent, (not to use automobile

gasoline as its couples can be poisonous). During the work in conditions

negative temperatures, bituminous insulating mastic it is recommended

to warm in teplyaka within a day at a temperature not less than +15 °C. At

putting mastic, the surface has to be dry, previously

the fragile remains of an old covering, snow and the frost cleared of dirt.

The porous bases need to be processed a bituminous primer of Bitumast.

To smooth out rusty metal surfaces mechanically and

to process the Bitumast rust solvent. Damp surfaces

it is recommended to dry, using gas torches. Mastic is applied

by means of the painting roller, a brush, a mop.

Waterproofing mastic is allowed to be used at ambient temperature not below minus 5 °C and lack of rainfall.

 

RECOMMENDATIONS

Expense of 0,5 - 2,0 l/sq.m depending on structure of a surface and quantity of the put layers. Time of drying of one layer 0,5 mm thick at 20ºС no more than 24 hours.

 

STORAGE

In densely closed container, protecting from influence of moisture and direct sunshine, far from heating devices. Not to store nearby with premises and in contact with food. To hold in inaccessible children the place. At negative temperatures mastic gets denser, after warming restores the properties. Expiration date 24 months.

 

PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES

Not to use in the inhabited and closed rooms. Bituminous insulating mastic is flammable! To exclude existence of heating devices and open sources of fire. Not to allow hit of bituminous insulating mastic on integuments, in eyes and a gullet. To work in protective suits, in gloves and points. At hit of bituminous insulating mastic on skin - to remove with rags and to wash away pollution by soap water. At hit of bituminous insulating mastic in eyes – to wash out a large amount of flowing water and if necessary to ask for medical care. At hit of bituminous insulating mastic in a gullet not to cause vomiting, immediately to ask for medical care and to show a label. Structure: insulating bitumen, organic solvent and mineral filler.
