MIIM™ scanner
The MIIM™ system allows to carry out monitoring of the physical channel on all its extent in real time. At the same time support of the SNMP protocol gives the chance to easily embed system in third-party applications. The built-in services of Detection provide a possibility of receiving ip-and MAC addresses of the devices found in a network, with the subsequent entering of this information in the database. Functions on management of working tasks considerably simplify switching process, and also allow to plan and monitor changes in a network configuration, including movements, additions and changes (MACs). Process of switching in the cross field goes diode indicators of ports on switching panels that considerably facilitates work to the staff of technical department.
The MIIM scanner monitors entering of possible changes into a network configuration. Each scanner occupying 1 standard unit (1U) in a switching rack can be connected to 48 switching panels that allows to carry out monitoring to 1152 lines. As the tire of data the scanner panel standard switching cords of RJ45-RJ45 are used. Setup of scanners and their activation can be made irrespective of the MIIM server SOFTWARE. After connection between the scanner and the MIIM appendix is established, it will execute procedure of scanning and will transfer the obtained information on active network devices to the appendix. The scanner constantly traces the status of the channel and transfers to the appendix information in case of its change. At the same time MIIM function of the application "Detection on an event" will be activated that in turn will lead to poll of the corresponding switchboard regarding changes and to entering into the appendix of the updated information.
