Obtaining (assignment) individual identification number (IIN) to nonresidents

As it is known since January 01, 2013 in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan the individual identification numbers (IIN) are everywhere applied to receiving by natural persons the state services, payment of tax and other obligatory payments, implementation of various registration actions. This norm concerned not only citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan, but also foreigners constantly and temporarily staying in the territory of our country. So without the assigned number IINA foreigners cannot undergo procedure of the state registration of legal entities any more (for example, limited liability partnership) or real estate, cannot enter the labor relations or use services of banks in opening and maintaining accounts. Therefore for full work and business foreigners need to receive IIN.

Procedure of receiving IIN by foreign citizens consists in registration of the foreigner in tax authorities as the taxpayer of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Temporary registration in bodies of migratory police for the place of stay precedes such procedure. We want to note at once that registration as the taxpayer has attendance character for what the foreign citizen needs to arrive to the territory of RK personally.

For rendering services we will need the following documents and data:

• the copy of the national passport with notarially certified translation into the Russian and Kazakh languages.
• the certificate of registration of temporary stay in the Republic of Kazakhstan granted by bodies of migratory police of Almaty.
