Pipes polyethylene for gas supply from PE 100 are successfully operated on gas pipelines of a high pressure (the II category), average and low pressure.

Gas supply is branch of the increased danger therefore building of its objects and installation of gas pipelines have to be carried out strictly according to requirements of the existing standard documentation.

It is characterized by high resistance to chemical influences, resistance to many acids, gases and alkalis

Pipes polyethylene - the most widespread type of polymeric (plastic) pipes. Pipes are applied to supply of combustible gases (which are used as raw materials and fuel for industrial and household function) and are intended for construction and repair of networks of gas supply. Pipes are issued from polyethylene the class PE100 the standard dimensional relation of SDR 17, SDR 13,6, SDR 11 and SDR 9, nominal diameters from 20 to 630 mm. Color of pipes - black with yellow marking strips. Gas pipes, with a diameter no more than 110 mm are made in bays from 50 to 500 m. Pipes are gas, are issued in direct pieces (from 6 to 12 m in coordination with the consumer) and communicate in packages.

Application of polyethylene pipes for gas pipelines has the following advantages:

  • operation term longer, than at metal (a warranty period of 50 years);
  • do not demand cathodic protection and therefore almost do not need service;
  • are not afraid of contacts with water and are resistant to the majority of hostile environment;
  • polyethylene pipes of 2-4 times easier steel;
  • polyethylene pipes are capable to maintain variable loadings from soil;
  • polyethylene pipes with a diameter from 20 to 110 mm are issued bays from 50 to 500 meters;
  • butt welding of polyethylene gas pipelines much cheaper, simpler and takes less time;
  • the polyethylene joint does not demand any additional expendables (isolation, electrodes);
  • use of thermistor couplings is allowed, at the same time welding process considerably becomes simpler;
  • time of training of welders for polyethylene gas pipelines is much less, than for steel;
  • possibility of laying of the gas pipeline by a drawing method;
  • high elasticity, and also low roughness of an internal surface.
