Description
Pipes polyethylene water pressure head are applied to construction and repair of the external pipelines transporting water for economic and drinking water supply and water disposal and other liquid and gaseous substances to which polyethylene is chemically resistant.
Production of polyethylene pipes
Pipes are issued from polyethylene of classes PE 63, PE 80, PE 100 and PE 100 + [1] standard dimensional relation of SDR 41 - SDR 6, nominal diameters from 16 to 1600 mm on the main working pressure 4; 6; 8; 10; 12,5; 16; 20 bars. Color of pipes - black with blue marking strips. The pipes which are let out in direct pieces are made 12 m long (or any other in coordination with the customer). Pipes, with a diameter no more than 160 mm can are made in bays (drums) from 50 to 1000 m.
Water temperature in the mode of normal operation - no more than 40 degrees Celsius
To the 110th diameter inclusive polyethylene pipes can connect to the help of a mechanical (compression) fitting. Polyethylene pipes of big diameters connect mainly welding end-to-end, or by means of a thermistor fitting that in turn demands the special welding equipment. Such connection is monolithic and it is considered the most reliable as has no rubber sealing rings which service life is limited.
Production of polyethylene pipes is younger (the first PE of a pipe were made about 50 years ago) and progressive technology. Polyethylene pipes have the excellent technical and economic indicators which are directly connected with low cost of operation, low costs of installation and long service life, and also a possibility of utilization of the fulfilled pipeline.
