Polyethylene plugs under a flange are used to installation of pipelines, in cases if the design provides the PE collapsible connection of pipes with steel, or in cases of installation of pipes with shutoff valves (cranes, latches) by means of clamping flanges. GOST P 50838-95, and also any types of liquids to which polyethylene is chemically resistant are applied to construction of water supply systems, according to GOST 18599-2001, and gas pipelines.

Plugs under a flange of PE 100 and PE 80 are issued the following standard sizes: 20, 25, 32, 40, 50, 63, 75, 90, 110, 125, 140, 160, 180, 200, 225, 250, 280, 315, 355, 400, 450, 500, 560, 630, 710, 800, 900, 1000, 1200.
