Primer Bituminous

The primer bituminous is the black uniform liquid which is solution of oil bitumens (temperature of their softening is not less than 80 degrees Celsius) in organic solvents. As a part of a primer there are no foreign inclusions or not uniformity. It does not contain toxic solvents, such as toluene.

The bituminous primer considerably facilitates carrying out waterproofing and roofing works. It allows to reduce time of works and to improve quality of a waterproofing.

Types. The bituminous primer happens two types: ready to application and concentrated. Before application the concentrated primer (concentrate) needs to be parted with one of organic solvents (kerosene, white spirit, gasoline) 1:1,5 or 1:2. It allows to save on its use, in transit and storage. With a ready primer it is not necessary to carry out any preliminary procedures, except careful hashing. It is completely ready to application. Such primer is very convenient in work. Lack of need for preparation of a primer from a concentrate considerably increases works speed.

Application. The bituminous primer is used for priming of a surface (concrete, reinforced concrete, metal, an asbotsement, a tree, porous materials) during the waterproofing and roofing works. At the same time it can be applied as the independent waterproofing product, and in a complex with other built-up and self-adhesive roofing materials.

In particular, the bituminous primer is used for preparation for waterproofing works:

· Bases of flat roofs,

· Bases,

· Underground designs and constructions,

· Bridge flights,

· Surfaces of metal pipelines.

The product is widely used for protection of metals against corrosion.

It is possible to apply a primer on concrete, cement and sand and other rough surfaces. The dusty, porous, uneven surface is processed by a bituminous primer by means of kapron brushes or brushes. Such way of drawing guarantees good impregnation of a basis a primer, and also high adhesion with the waterproofing materials. Priming of surfaces a bituminous primer will allow to prolong considerably the term of operation of materials for a waterproofing.

For gluing of rolled materials by means of a primer the surface of concrete, reinforced concrete plates, and also seams between separate elements is grounded completely. Each subsequent layer of rolled material can be pasted only in three-four hours after gluing previous. Rolled materials are pasted with an overlap (not less than 100 mm), at the same time avoid cross gluing. The pasted cloth well is arrived by a special cylindrical skating rink.
