Scanning is one of ways of transition from the world of paper vanity to the world of an electronic order, this receiving an image of the paper document in electronic form. Scanning is the integral component of process of transition from paper business management and paper archives to electronic systems of storage of information and work with it.

Scanning - the most convenient and fast way to transfer the paper document or the book to an electronic form. During the work with the image scanning - the only opportunity to reproduce it precisely and without loss qualities. Manual typing or photographing of a standard sheet for the subsequent reproduction on the press or for long storage take too much time, and in their process essential distortions of the original are possible. The electronic copy of the document received when scanning meets all requirements which are imposed to the materials sent for the press. Scanning of books provides an opportunity to store them eternally.
