Sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) GOST 2156-76

Sodium bicarbonate (baking soda, sodium bicarbonate, NaHCO3) is a white crystalline powder that easily decomposes, releasing carbon dioxide. A distinctive feature of the product is a mild alkaline properties, no harmful effects on animal and plant tissue.

Application:

1. chemical industry - for the production of dyes, foam and other organic products, fluoride reagents, household chemicals, fillers, fire extinguishers, for separating carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulfide from gas mixtures (gas absorbed in the hydrogen carbonate solution at elevated pressure and reduced temperature, the solution is restored by heating and reduced pressure);

2. production of modern, environmentally safe household chemicals (detergents and various cleaning products);

3. food industry - is used in bakery, confectionery, beverages preparation;

4. Light Industry - in the manufacture of sole rubber and artificial leather, leather processing (tanning skins and neutralization), textiles (finish silk and cotton fabrics);

5. medical, pharmaceutical industry - manufacture of various antiseptic for the preparation of injection solutions, antituberculosis drugs and antibiotics;

6. nonferrous metals - in the precipitation of rare earth metal and ore flotation;

7. agriculture - used for the production of feed;
