Latch - the locking device in which pass is blocked by forward movement of a lock in the direction, perpendicular to the movement of a stream of the transported environment. Latches are intended for full overlapping of a stream of a working environment and are one of the most widespread types of the shutoff pipeline valves installed on technological and main pipelines. In comparison with other types of shutoff valves of a latch have the following advantages: insignificant hydraulic resistance at completely open pass; lack of turns of a stream of a working environment; possibility of application for overlapping of streams of the environment of big viscosity; rather small construction length; a possibility of giving of the environment in any direction of the Latch can be with the sliding or not sliding (rotated) spindle.
