Aniline (fenilamin) — organic compound with a formula C6H5NH2, the elementary aromatic amine. Represents colourless oily liquid with a characteristic smell, it is a little heavier than water and badly in it we will dissolve, it is well dissolved in organic solvents. On air quickly is oxidized and gets red - brown coloring. It is poisonous. The name "aniline" comes from the name of one of the plants containing indigo — Indigofera anil (the modern international name of a plant — Indigofera suffruticosa).
