One of the most popular poisons applied in entomological mordants to killing of insects. Insects after killing in its couples much more softly are also more pliable in preparation, than after killing in parakhkhloroform.
It is applied as component of fruit essences. It is registered as food additive of E1504.
Ethyl acetate is widely used as solvent, because of the low cost and small toxicity, and also acceptable smell. In particular, as solvent of nitrate celluloses, cellulose acetates, fats, vosk, for cleaning of printed circuit boards, in mix with alcohol — solvent in production of imitation leather.
