With organic and inorganic acids hexamethylenediamine forms salts. Hexamethylenediamine salts when heating with organic acids turn in amidysootvetstvuyushchy acids. It is used for receiving on the basis of hexamethylenediamine of valuable polymeric products — polyamides (for example, nylon - 66 by condensation by sadipinovy acid). The hexamethylene which is also generated from geksametilenamin isocyanate is valuable monomer in production of polyurethane. The diamine is also the cross - connecting reagent by production of epoxies.
