The digital DCN-16U switchboard is intended for the organization of bilateral simplex communication and the loud notification in the conditions of the industrial enterprises as a part of system of industrial communication of DCN constructed on the basis of these products by the modular principle.
The digital DCN-16U switchboard can be used in metallurgical, chemical, oil processing, gazo-oil-extracting industries and similar to them under the terms of application, and also on the railroads, in system of open communication of Armed forces, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Emercom of Russia, and in case of need (at completion), is integrated into the Uniform network of telecommunication of the country.

The digital DCN-16U switchboard is used:

• for the organization of a quick conference circuit;
• for the organization of loud-speaking communication and the loud notification;
• for an operative communication with the production sites having explosive and/or chemically aggressive conditions of production;
• for an operative communication with industrial cranes and stokers;
• for communication with radio-subscribers.

By means of the digital DCN-16U switchboard implementation of the following functions is possible:

• the organization of simplex loud-speaking communication between the subscriber devices connected to it;
• possibility of an individual call of any subscriber or group of subscribers (for devices with a nomeronabiratel);
• the individual notification of subscribers on loud-speaking communication;
• the zone (group) notification of subscribers on loud-speaking communication;
• free numbering of subscribers;
• priority order of a call of subscribers;
• possibility of any purpose of priorities of connection;
• manual or automatic broadcasting of alarm signals, notifications, messages which are written down in an answerphone;
• local control, diagnostics and configuration of system from the automated workplace (AW) of the administrator.
