System of Radio Sounding of the Atmosphere (SRSA)

The System of Radio Sounding of the Atmosphere (SRSA) — a complex of the equipment for collection of information about temperature and humidity of air, speed and the direction of wind at various heights; consists of the following components:!! a radiosonde — the device including sensors of temperature, humidity and pressure, and also the device for transformation of the parameters of air measured by means of these sensors to a radio telemetric signal and its transfers on the reception land device; rises in the atmosphere by means of the latex cover filled with hydrogen or helium up to the heights of 30 — 40 km; the reception land device — including the radar for reception of radio signals of a radiosonde (provides also maintenance of radiosondes on distance to 200 — 250 km from a release point), determination of its current coordinates, and the computer system for processing of telemetric information, data processing and delivery of results.
