The liquefied gases

The main industrial gases - oxygen, nitrogen and argon receive by method of cryogenic division of air. This production technology was developed more than 100 years ago. For division atmospheric air is compressed, cleared of carbon dioxide, moisture and dust, then cooled up to very low temperature (approximately - 175 0 C). The air liquefied when cooling, by means of distillation (distillation), is divided into oxygen, nitrogen, argon and other inert gases.
Now use also other methods of division of air: Separation: division of air by means of membranes. Adsorption: air is passed through special materials which absorb its separate components.
